Our gumweed salve is made from the yellow flowers of the Grindelia squarrosa plant (Curlycup gumweed). We harvest flowers in the late summer when they are sticky and coated with the plants medicinal resin. Gumweed has long been used by Native American’s to relieve skin irritations.

Uses:

-Used historically to alleviate itching and inflammation caused by contact with poison oak or poison ivy.

-Gumweed has long been used to soothe itching from bug bites, spider bites and bee stings.

-May provide relief for various skin conditions like eczema, rashes, burns and blisters.
